Moroccan Mint

A classic blend of gunpowder green tea with peppermint and spearmint.  Serving mint tea is a hospitality tradition of Morocco that is central to many social interactions.  This is a staple all year round, but is particularly refreshing on a hot summer day.

Organic Peppermint and Organic Spearmint – both of our mints are sourced from Trout Lake Farms in Washington at the foot of Mt. Adams.  They consistently produce the best mints to cross our cupping table, being both potent and pure. 
Gunpowder Green Tea – from Anhui Province, China.  Vegetal forward with a touch of smoke.

Green tea pairs well with shellfish and sushi, mild cheese, and white chocolate.  With mint, it will work well with savory dishes such as lamb and chicken.  For tea cocktails, works best with gin or vodka.  Irish gin brand Drumshanbo famously uses gunpowder green tea as one of their botanicals.

Brewing hot: 175F for 3-4 minutes, 2.5g per 12oz water.  Green tea can scorch easily at higher temps so 175 is best.

Brewing cold: 6g of tea per 12oz cool water.  Steep refrigerated for 4 hours.  For a gallon of cold brew tea, use 2 - 3oz tea per gallon.
